"Very comfortable bed, clean room
We stayed for 2 nights. At check-in, we did not notice the sign in reception that you need to ask for a room refresh (before noon)
We needed clean cups, glasses, tbags, but we asked in the pub on the second day and all were provided.
The only downside is there isn’t really anywhere in the bathroom to dry towel on a two night stay, so maybe best to ask for refresh

"It was an old characterful building with many original features. It was evident from the certificates and photos around the place that it had been a hotel & restaurant of note with award winning credentials. It isn’t a shiny glitzy hotel but equally the decor was quite tired and patched up in places. "The staff were very helpful. The hotel is very tired and needs some changing and upgrades and the bathroom was not clean with ingrained grubbiness. At breakfast, there was a coffee machine with no facilities for decaffeinated coffee. Just sachets of decaffeinated. Otherwise breakfast was good."

"Really great location and easy check in and out but the room was SO hot we couldn’t sleep, there was a fan but it didn’t do much. Our windows also opened into the balcony which didn’t feel very private "

"Great value for the price and the quality of surface you get. Cannot complain. The hall way at night does looks a bit like a haunted movie due to the way the motion sensor for the light works and the bluish emergency exit lighting."
