A pleasant surprise and great value for money, property was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. We ate in the brasserie and it's one of the nicest meals we've had a in a long time. Will be back!

Beautiful accomodation and accessibility. I really could not, or want to, be critical of anything with our stay. The air conditioning was a massive bonus on one of the hottest day of the year and with us bringing our dog, our room had its own patio and direct access onto the gardens , which was perfect. All the staff were very friendly and professional with a superb breakfast. I Would definitely recommend for a special occasion stay.

The historic house has been gutted and all character and patina removed. Rooms are functional although lighting poorly designed (you have to get out of bed to turn off bedside light). Bathrooms lack ventilation. Garden renewal has stalled.

Excellent service from everyone I encountered - Lady on reception at check-in was polite, helpful and showed me to my room and explained the room functions etc Bar service for food and drinks in the evening was also excellent and I used the gym which was really good too.. A country gem

The highlight of the hotel is the food, it is excellent. The hotel is beautiful with excellent design. Some practical things were overlooked for instance it is impossible to sit in front of a mirror to use the hair dryer.
