"Beautiful hotel overlooking the lake. moonlight views gorgeous. room was very nice and clean. fan was helpful for the warm weather. breakfast was delicious and buffet extensive anything you could possibly want. It is a very short walk and then 61 steps to climb up from bus stop if anyone has a mobility challenge. great value relative to other places. staff was friendly and helpful"

"I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Europe in Lucerne (May 29-June 1, 2026) . The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and my room offered a beautiful view that made it a pleasure to return after a day of walking the Old Towne (about 15 minute walk from hotel). The bed was comfortable, and I especially appreciated the plentiful electrical outlets, which made it easy to keep all of my devices charged. What really stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone was friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. They provided clear directions (bus information / coffee shop info), postage stamps, non-dairy oatmilk with the complimentary breakfast, and even duct tape when my suitcase liner got a rip in it (my own fault). Their assistance helped make my visit smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I found the Grand Hotel Europe to be comfortable, welcoming, and conveniently located. The walk from the hotel along the water was lovely and very flat and comfortable to stroll along. I would gladly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Lucerne as an excellent location."
