It’s a beautiful hotel in a quiet neighborhood of Kyoto near Niko Castle. The staff are courteous and professional. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and so beautiful. I’d love to come back here on my next stay.

Had such a great stay at Kaya Hotel in Kyoto! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location made it super easy to get around—close to transport and plenty of great food spots nearby. The staff were lovely and really helpful with recommendations, which made exploring Kyoto even better. It felt like a mix of modern comfort with a bit of that local charm. Would definitely stay here again

Although a bit hard for our taxi driver to find (the entryway is a small alley), the location was SUPER convenient. Walking distance to several restaurants and we started our Japan journey with an easy 2 minute walk to Nijo Castle. The most important factor of this hotel is being centrally located within Kyoto. We were an easy bus ride to all the main sightseeing hotspots (Bamboo forest, 10,000 gates, Golden Temple, Kiyomizudera, Gion), shopping, restaurants and Kyoto Station. Highly recommended!

Nicely appointed hotel with welcoming staff and clean, comfortable, fairly spacious room. It’s possible to walk to attractions such as the old Imperial Palace, but these places are not close by, and a taxi is a more realistic option. Breakfast was nicely varied with Japanese and western items, and elegantly served.

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were clean and breakfast was delicious! Every staff at the hotel were kind and extremely helpful. The hotel is located very close to the Nijo castle and you can get around town using the nearby subway train or Uber/Taxi. Highly recommended!

Location was exactly what we wanted from this portion of our family holiday. Hidden amongst the small streets of Kyoto and a short taxi ride from nearly everything. Room was very spacious and staff were helpful. There is a an extremely well stocked supermarket + pharmacy withing walking distance which was great. Highly recommend.
