"What really stood out was the thoughtfulness of the staff. I’m currently on placement working night shifts, so sleeping during the day is essential for me. The team went out of their way to upgrade my room and ensure it was quiet, which made such a difference to how rested I felt for my shifts. "Have stayed at Briery Wood many times over the last 7 years or so. Consistently good, spotless bathrooms, fabulous breakfast and really excellent restaurant. Reasonably priced for the terrific standard. But the staff are exceptional. Friendly, professional and well trained. We like that they keep the staff on through the winter and chatting with the housekeeper found she is in her 21st year. Many of the others there 10 years +. That says a lot about a business for me.
