We found the cabin to be clean and the beds comfortable. The communication from the owners was excellent and the keys were right where they said that they would be. There was a nice looking fireplace, but we could not take advantage of it as we did not bring anything to start a fire. But it is a nice amenity to have. A couple of improvements that we would suggest: Better outdoor lighting. What is there is adequate but could be improved. Maybe provide signage to let folks know where to park? We were there in dark, rainy conditions and had difficulty figuring out what they meant by "parking is across the way by the trees". Which trees? And 2 reading lamps by the beds would be nice. That said we would have no problem staying there again or recommending this property to anyone traveling in the area.

Very cute little chalet. Everything felt well maintained and clean upon arrival. The property was quiet and felt private. Loved that there was a fire pit right outside of our chalet. Communication with the owners and check in/out was super easy. Would love to stay there again

What a cozy little cutie cabin ❤️

This was our 2nd time staying at Wilderness Inn, and it was fantastic. Easy contactless check in, convenient, 10 minutes to town/Lake Placid. We enjoyed the outdoors fireplace and the natural environment. We would definitely stay there again!❤️

Stayed one night due to passing through the area. The bedrooms are tight with 2 beds in each. Good place to stay for a couple of days to tour the area. The Spruce will sleep 6 people comfortable. Would stay again for the value.

Quaint cozy cabin!

If you are looking for quiet cabin close to Whiteface Mountain you found it. Away from the busy Lake Placid and a beautiful drive. Cozy little rustic cabin. Great communication, all my questions were answered quickly. Loved that we could bring our dogs.

We booked the small "Balsam" Cabin at Wilderness Inn which is a very cozy cottage in the woods. Even if its getting colder there is a fire place and a well working heating. We felt welcome right from the start. Everything was arranged with care: matches for the fireplace, coffee capsules, sufficient towels. In addition, the location is excellent next to Whiteface Mountain and High Falls Gorge.

Very nice cabins with fireplace. No issues whatsoever with my stay. In the images I thought I saw an AC unit pictured but it was a furnace, no AC (in the Norway cabin at least) but 2 good fans provided.

We had the best cabin maybe, Hemlock. I can't comment on all of them, but our friends' was smaller and darker inside. Hemlock was great. It has a good kitchen.
