Would have given a higher score but on our arrival our room was freezing cold and took approx 12 hrs to warm up with radiators on full. After that it was nice and comfortable. "

There were two boiler outages—one on the first morning and another on the final evening. During the first, we were asked to use the penthouse bathroom but not offered a room change. The second outage was resolved in an hour, delaying our dinner reservation. We were told the issues were due to cold weather and high occupancy, which felt unacceptable. The cinema...

"It’s Salcombe so it’s lovely, not cheap but value for the area on this occasion. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Hotel is lovely, breakfast was very good.

"The location is magnificent, this is such a stunning part of devon, and you walk out the door basically onto the beach! The room was beautiful, with colour and texture and charm. the only slight against it was the only parking is the public carpark nextdoor so about £10 per day, but thats not much of a gripe in the scheme of things and they were super

"Very nice room. View- in the distance - of kingsbridge creek. Excellent breakfast included in the very reasonable price . Very helpful and Friendly staff. Good beer and ciders. Bed was ok , but we are used to memory foam mattress/ toppers now, so missed that.

"Wonderful Escapism A treat away for my 50th birthday. Exceptional service throughout our stay from bar and restaurant staff, through to the lovely cleaning ladies. Made my stay very special, fabulous food both at the Pilchard Inn and the black tie dinner. Any little issues were dealt with straight away and am already looking for an excuse to go back again, oh and you must brave it and take a swim in the mermaid pool."

"This is a family run hotel that felt welcoming and safe. We stayed in a huge family room with bank beds and a cot bed for our 3 little ones. The hotel employees were very kind and accommodating. Best place to stay in Dartmouth if you have a family. There is an outdoor and indoor pool with spa. Very close to the beaches and woodlands theme park."
