"The Burlington is a nice, friendly, old-fashioned hotel. It's right on the seafront close to the pier and the town centre, and it has it's own car park at the back. We only stayed one night but we're able to park our car there before check in and keep it there till 3pm on check out day, which was helpful.
The food was fine (apart from the absence of mushrooms on the breakfast menu) - good portions at dinner and help yourself at breakfast.
Our room had been modernised and was very nice - it was like a Premier Inn room but with a softer mattress. We were on the third floor and it's a good thing we didn't mind the stairs because they only had one small lift working, which for a place of this size was inadequate really. The hotel needs some refurbishment in places; this has clearly been happening gradually but it's a big task. The public rooms are spacious and there are two bars plus a dancefloor, which was used when we were there. They had a singer who was pretty good and appreciated by the guests, some of whom were on a coach trip.
The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay despite being kept awake by night roadworks outside - not their fault and just bad luck for guests that night. I'd be happy to stay there again but would avoid high summer as there was no air conditioning."
