"The room did have a smell that wasn’t pleasant, and the back door wouldn’t open from the outside so people kept leaving rocks and towels there to come and go which is a safety hazard. Other than that breakfast was nice, beds were comfy, and staff was super friendly and nice"

It was late at night. I have a toddler and there were no other options. We slept on top of the covers and left...

"Vicksburg is all about the Civil War and you couldn’t ask for a better place than the Inn at Cedar Grove. Meals were excellent and the Staff were attentive. The Inn could use further renovations but not a huge issue given its age and use. Lots of history within the Inn itself. "

"This place is nothing like the website. The non-smoking room was completely smoky. Only one elevator, and the only thing slower than it was the waitress service in the restaurant. Had the steak special. Sent it back, the first time in years that I’ve done that. They brought out the brussels sprouts that went with it. Then they brought another steak, which was OK. "If you’re looking for a real historical place to stay, this is it. Very well maintained..bathrooms in our building, Halpino, was excellent..all redone. Bed very comfortable, floors creeked but very old building. Breakfast was at another building you could walk too. Was excellent and fancy. Was in a further area from historic downtown but easy drive. Historic it is perfect for Vicksburg."
