Holiday Inn Express Arcata / Eureka - Airport Area by IHG
8/10 Good
"We ended up here at the last minute, as our booked Airbnb had an issue, so I found this place, booked it for 3 nights, and we checked in an hour later.
With limited options in the area and our purpose being to visit Redwood Np and hike for a few days, I would totally recommend this place!
It was clean. The staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was nicer than some similar hotels with free breakfast. Coffee was always available, cookies and popcorn in the afternoon. Hot tub was clean. We were able to use the laundry facilities (quarters sold at the front desk).
We didn’t have our kids with us but I felt it was very kid/family friendly.
A quiet place to stay with easy on/off access to 101.
Would absolutely recommend if you need a solid place to stay in the area. Many other places look sketch and are are in less than desirable areas."
"The historical preservation of the hotel was impressive. Jaw dropping beautiful. No wifi in the room! Saw guests clustered in the lobby using it. Above average breakfast offerings. Would stay here again if there was better wifi."
"Stayed here while visiting the Arcata area. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was decent with eggs, sausage, waffles, cold cereal, and croissants. The hotel was reasonably quiet during our stay. There aren’t really any amenities to speak of, but it worked fine as a simple place to sleep. The Mexican restaurant next door was good, and Toni’s down the street was also worth visiting."
"The property was decent. The front lobby is nice. There is a pool and games for people to play. There was a great outdoor space for people to grill and hangout. The breakfast was fair. Fruit, cereal and microwave able items in the refrigerator. The rooms were a bit dated and the beds were less than desirable. The staff was helpful and nice. You get what you pay for."
