"We had a most splendid time at Djorff Palace. From the minute we arrived with the hotel’s river boat, we felt transported back in time. To a time where the dull uniformity of big corporate hotels did not exist. The architecture of the hotel is most elegant and the rooms are authentic and warm with their squeaky wooden floor, domed ceilings and the intricate wooden carvings on the balcony door and the windows. "The biggest attraction of this hotel is its location, where you can see the city of Luxor and the Nile River from the rooftop restaurant. "This was my second stay, and we had a fantastic time. I thought I had booked a larger room, and was a bit disappointed when I arrived. Spoke with the manager and he was kind enough to take time out of his day to accommodate us and get us upgraded to a much larger room (for a fare difference). Everyone is always super helpful and nice to guests. This is somewhere that everyone should get to enjoy if and when they find themselves in southern Egypt. Especially families!"

"Everyone was so nice and it is a good location if you are planning to do the sunrise hot air balloon ride. There isn’t very much to do around the hotel but it is quiet! "

The breakfast was excellent, and the rooftop restaurant was great at night. The staff were friendly, and I highly recommend this hotel. There is also a tour desk."

"I loved this property and wish I could have stayed in Luxor for longer - I only stayed there for two days. The hotel is tiktok and instagram friendly so good for making travel content if that's what you are after. Hotel staff was friendly and helped me arrange my trip to banana island and the hotel airballoon ride. Staff was always down to help whenever needed and would highly recommend this hotel if its fits your budget. "

"Sayed and the team were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous and the property super well kept. It’s close to everything you need to do on the West Bank and if you need they can organise a driver for you. There are plenty of local taxis and Tuk tuks too. Dinner is very reasonably priced and has a wealth of options - all Egyptian. I can’t recommend staying here enough! "
