The room was poorly illuminated and could have used a couple of chairs as well as a small table for writing etc. We experienced a significant amount of road noise and interior noise from adjoining room doors. The hotel was conveniently located to Maastricht center.

Lovely, simple, comfortable hotel with a cosy, authentic feel. The room was comfortable (great beds and plenty of room) and everything very clean and well cared for. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the street and it was very, very noisy for much of the night. Guests who are light sleepers might want to request a room facing the back.

Had a great 3 night stay here. Maastricht is great city with plenty to do with the Monastere in a great central location and it was very comfortable with nice bedrooms. We had a small drain issue which was fixed very quickly. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

A totally enjoyable stay, the staff make you feel welcome and at home from the moment you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The building is an old monastery and has been thoughtfully refurbished throughout. The food in the restaurant is great and the bar and restaurant offer a very relaxed atmosphere, just what you need after the busy bars of Maastricht.

A charming hotel however beware ofwhat room U get. Some are two stories W quite steep staircase and simple furnishing. Baths nice with high quality towels. Beds comfortable. Breakfast very good. Staff super helpful and friendly.

Hotel was in a great location for Vrijthof Square for the Andre Rieu concert. Over priced for the standard of the property. Our room was an upgrade but was more a 3 star I think. No wardrobe space or storage, carpet was in need of some attention, cleaned daily but small details like soap being refilled or loo roll being supplied helps.

Love the location and the vibe of this boutique hotel, but the heating system was not working in our room and there was a stale mildew odor that forced us to open window (winter temps outside). The staff tried to help but no other rooms were available to us. No effort to correct the situation with a credit or refund. It was disappointing.
