"The apartment was in a very central location, only a few moments away from the main shopping mall in Funchal, and coffee shop almost on the doorstep. There was a kitchenette, washing machine and ironing board provided, and all useful utensils provided (even sachets of oil for using the frying pan). Check in was simple with the use of door codes. "Excellent location in old Funchal. Very close to Harbor front and to museums, shops, services. Although there are no staff on site, check in was smooth, and we felt secure with the locked doors we had to go through to keep residents safe. For the most part, we had timely responses to queries to staff if we had questions hotel/room/airport transportation as needed. "

Very spacious apartment and responsive host Altough be careful it advertises parking available on request and a washer and dryer there is no parking and no dryer…but drying rack is availble. I VERY creaky floors, no one above us but i felt terrible for the people under us everytime i walked, even on tippy toes it was uncontrollable…. "

"Check in was easy as host sent helpful instructions ahead of time. Free street car parking is available, there is also a garage but because it’s down a steep hill and the garage itself is a little cramped it’s not the greatest to use. "Could not open window and back door as cacourockes would come in, as well very noisy, towels were only changed once for a 14 day stay, there was a smell in the kitchen that came from the sewer. Sheets were not cotton so they were hot to sleep in. Out of 10 I would give 2. "
