the stay was good.. but the breakfast is not superb as i usually have at others hotel... very calculative...and when i wanted to upgrade room.. the way they calculate the price i think is too much..the difference just dont make sense.. i will come again but will b more ready to get a bigger room.. no housekeeping after 8pm is kinda not acceptable... other than that all are good

Pleasant stay, but housekeeping can be improved

This small local hotel is located somewhere between the North South Highway exit and the Malacca town. It will be convenient for those who visit friends and relatives in the vicinity. The hotel has two blocks, one older and the other newer. We stayed in a one-bed-room apartment located at the old block. The apartment has a kitchenette with a fridge, a living room, a big balcony, and a separate bedroom with 3 single beds, with an attached bathroom. The apartment and the hotel ground were generally clean during our stay, despite its age. The check-in was efficient with friendly reception staff. However, the housekeeping could be improved, as they missed cleaning our apartment once. The reception staff followed up with quick rectification. The towels in the bathroom should be replaced as they turned brownish after repeated uses. There was little toiletries but it was not a problem with us as we brought our own. Wifi connection could be better. The hotel has an at-grade swimming pool, but we did not use it. We did not take their breakfast as we went downtown to eat. Overall, it was a pleasant stay - our main purpose was to visit our friends and relatives living nearby - the location was perfect for us. But if your purpose is for touring the heritage town, then downtown hotels may be more convenient. Despite the word "resort" in the name, one should manage his/her expectation. This is a 3-star (or less), basic, no frills, small and local-run hotel.
