"Mary who greeted us on arrival was very friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with walking suggestions. Wished we had stayed longer."

"Good"

"Amazing place in a beautiful setting!"

"Great place my wife and I enjoyed our stay."

"Very clean and nice hotel with comfortable beds! Appreciated the bar/ restaurant right next door!"

"Great location, simple room--minimalist but nice with microwave, fridge. Was a great place to set up headquarters for our trip to Vermont. Beautiful view behind the motel with firepits. It is a self-serve kind of property, which suited us well. We stayed 4 days and they didn't come to clean throughout. But we could go to the office and pick up anything we needed: extra toiletries, towels, etc. We enjoyed staying at the Aspen."

"First of all, I was mislead by Palmer house. On Expedia site it was written as a hotel resort. I reserve room using Expedia based on that fact that I am reserving a hotel room. Total amount of charge was $368.98. In reality when I came to this facility, it was a dirty very low-class motel. Front desk person except the fact that this is not a hotel but motel. He told me that they have few good rooms as well. On my question why they sold me motel instead of hotel rooms, he was unable to answer....

"Great views !"

"what a wonderful place to stay in the heart of the Green Mt's!! Beautiful historic inn in a beautiful setting...great host's and excellent breakfast in a dinning room overlooking the grad ends full of flowers. We'll be back! Highly recommended!"

"The room was supposed to be 2 king beds, but it was 2 queens so we had to sleep in separate beds. When we walked in there were spider webs and various insects everywhere. The floor was very uneven with various holes. Some had toilet paper stuffed in them because there was no Kleenex provided in the room. The good parts were a large bathroom counter, a nice shower head, the tv worked, and the mattresses were decent. Keep in mind there’s no amenities, but it’s affordable compared to everything...

"Had a great stay. Owners extremely friendly and welcoming and the Lodge lobby was cozy and warm for all the guests to hang out in (which they did!) in the evening. The hot sit down breakfast was delicious and large. Can't say enough good things about how comfortable we were staying here. Highly recommend!"

"What a refreshing change from the typical cookie-cutter hotels! This motel has its own unique personality, with quirky charm and a different vibe from the usual mainstream accommodations. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which is always my top priority. I loved that it felt distinctive and had character rather than looking like every other hotel room. If you appreciate places that are a little different, have charm, and offer a clean place to stay, this is definitely worth...

"This place was far nicer than it had any business being for a rambler motel and far nicer than you would think given the pictures. It is a very old motel but has been extensively and well remodeled (or is in the process of-workmen were there working on another room) and the room I was in was much nicer than most hotels I have stayed in. The staff (I think also the owners in this case) was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good."

"Wonderful find in Vermont. The staff provides what you need while maintaining a room for your privacy. Everything is in the vincinity with each access."

"Room was clean, but very strong air freshener. Nice large shower but floor is slippery and no grab bars. One large, steep step to get into room but no handrails. Not good for anyone with mobility concerns."

"The lodge was amazingly convenient on the main highway. Gorgeous views. Friendly staff. Robin was working and he was very professional and friendly. Only reason I would not give it five stars is that the room itself was very basic and simple. Very outdated. Reminded me of a Ramada Inn. So $350/night (off season) and the room wasn’t very nice. Also the highway in front of the lodge is very loud with nonstop loud pickup trucks and cars. I understand this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but just something...

"This place was great! Bed was super comfy. Excellent view of the surrounding mountains. Definitely a solid place to stay!!"

"If you are looking for a somewhat inexpensive place to stay then this is your place. It feels somewhat like a college dorm. There are no elevators and for the 3 days we were there only once did anyone say good morning or acknowledge anyone entering or leaving."
