"Place is basic and ok. Shower is fine (not great) and bathroom generally is plastic and very basic. This is a very basic airport hotel, overpriced for what it is. "

"It was a lovely stay with my son and my partner. The room was spacious and clean. The bathrobes and slippers are nice extras. Lovely surroundings/grounds to the hotel. Staff were overall nice however when we arrived (early before our check in), the lady didn't seem friendly or pleasant at first and welcoming. When i said and acknowledged that we have arrived way early before check in, she changed her tone and was more polite. We wanted to stay a the hotel to relax in the bar before check in but there was no staff at the bar. However i would definitely stay here again. "

"My room was on floor 2 towards the back of the hotel. The Gym was on floor 1 at the front of the hotel yet the music from the Gym and work out classes was so loud I couldn’t concentrate on work and had to have the TV on max volume. Then there was the loud banging at the same time, coming from an open door or window. Gym music and loud banging stopped at 10pm. The room had a glass door to the en-suite, so you had full view of the person sitting on the toilet and everything else private people do in bathrooms. The rainfall shower squirted water everywhere other than straight down. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in the last 10 years. The carpets had many stains on it, making the room feel dirty if you walked around in bare feet. Bedside lamps each side were plugged into the only power socket by the bed. So you had to make a choice of light or your electronics. For the prices they charge you’d expect a much higher standard of room. £118 for one night in a small double room. Plus you have to pay for parking. It was like a continental cheap motorway motel worth maybe £40 per night at best. I assume you pay this over the top rate due to the Gym and having a Starbucks on site. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Go down the road to the Double Tree by Hilton and not only save yourself £30 or so, but you get a better room. Cleaner, more spacious, sockets everywhere round the room, better spacious desk to work, shower that works. free parking for Blue Badge holders."

"Breakfast choices were excellent. The buffet has eggs over easy , scrambled plus ham,sausage too much to mention. Plus real fresh bread, cereals any kind of coffee and hot drinks plus juices! "

"Room was clean & tidy, may be a bit on the "tired" side, but no complaints. The connecting corridors from reception to accommodation blocks were cold, but the accommodation blocks and rooms were nice & warm. Restaurant menu I thought was limited - certainly nothing special and a bit on the prciet side for what you got (I had a chicken Cesar salad and it wasn't the best - lettuce seemed like it was from a 99p ASDA packet and on the "turn", about 6 small croutons, and chicken “breast” that had been "coated" in something...and was very wet - all the signs of cheap ingredients used to try and make an expensive looking dish (it didn’t look or taste it, sorry). Breakfast – good selection – cold & hot. Usual problem with cooked food left under heat lamps… dried out food, especially the eggs, followed by the beans and mushrooms – I asked for poached eggs and they were PERFECT. Overall, an ok stay, clean & tidy, but a tired hotel (I stayed here around 10 yrs ago and nothing had changed) – has great potential due to outs “rural & woodland” setting, but needs investment."

The bedding and overall room setup make it easy to settle in and relax. Service is another strong point. The team is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which adds to the overall experience and reflects a well-managed property. However, one element did impact the stay. Across multiple rooms (Rooms 7 and 8, as well as another in our group), there was noticeable noise during the night, likely coming from kitchen ventilation or extractor fans. While we raised this with the team and trust it will be addressed, it did disrupt sleep and is worth noting. Recommendation: If you’re considering staying here, it’s absolutely worth it for the atmosphere, comfort, and service—but I would recommend contacting the hotel ahead of booking to confirm that the noise issue has been resolved or to request a quieter room. Overall, a beautiful property with strong fundamentals—just one operational detail to refine for a truly five-star experience."
