"A hotel inside an international airport can come in two flavors. Brilliant… or not. The San Juan is not.
Some of the staff try hard to be friendly. Some are outright belligerent. The sixth floor requires a change of elevators. The expensive king-bed room is tiny. No place to lay out your your kit for the morning prep.
The restaurant? Surely staff. Beer can be $18 a glass. Food is, at best, bar happy hour snack food.
Breakfast is on the Motel-six standard. Filling. No more.

"Stayed in a King Ocean view room - the view was gorgeous, the room was clean and cleaned every day, the pool and hot tub were great. We ate at all of the restaurants and didn't have a bad meal (one was kinda slow but Island Time is a real thing). All of the staff were very friendly and outgoing and helpful. We loved it and would go back in heartbeat. "

"It was great that even though we arrived early that the staff held our luggage for us until it was time to check in. The room was clean & the bed comfortable. "The hotel itself is located along a busy stretch of expressway a couple miles from SJU airport. It’s about a 10 minute walk to a gorgeous beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The pedestrian overpass has about 25 steps on each side.. not for someone with mobility issues. The elevator was not working. Parking is very limited.
