"Nice place to stay the people working there were very friendly and helpful"

"Nice quiet area. Lots of parking. Staff spoke limited English which was great for me to practice my limited Spanish! Breakfast was good and the evening restaurant was a good price. "

"Lovely room and helpful staff gave advice about things to do. A little far from the city."

No Air Con, so open windows is the only relief to disperse heat, but when your room is above a busy roundabout and bus route hub the noise of traffic , vehicle horns and heavy goods vehicles is very loud. The noise is amplified by the shape of the front of the building which allows a conversation at street level to arrive in your room as though a shouting match is taking place. A basic, but pleasant breakfast was...

"We stayed for 1 night. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. It's a little noisy until after 10:30pm because of the restaurant downstairs. It's located near the river so it was nice to walk along the promenade. There is parking nearby for a fee. Breakfast was ok, nothing special."

"Fantastic stay, the hotel staff were wonderfully friendly and responded over and above our expectations."

"Absolutely loved our stay at the Barcelo hotel in Bilbao. Rooms were great, service excellent and the bar/ lobby area is so welcoming. Highly recommend."

"This hotel is tired and dated and needs a complete refurbishment ... the location is not bad ... but the rooms are dated, shabby and appear uncared for ... the reception staff were friendly and competent ... breakfast was atrocious !!! ... hot food: fried eggs, shredded bacon and sausages all cold ... a fair variety of other choices but all of very poor quality and appeared meagre in their presentation ... service dreadfully poor ... 2 staff who could be heard laughing and chatting in the...
