It was very clean here but not much for amenities. Why give me a pot with no coffee, there was no soap, shampoo, etc. As other stays have. It was hard to find anywhere to go, there was nothing in the room to tell you what was available, listing said room service but there was no phone, instructions, how or where to call. On-site restaurant was small, not very child friendly with a hookah shop right in the restaurant. Loved the beachside room though.

Steer clear

Terrible place to stay, noisy, they don't clean your room, same towels and sheets for our 6 day stay. Construction every day from 8 to 5...the only redeeming thing about the place is it's location.

No hot water but a nice view

We had no hot water for 3 days. I even had a maintenance man come to the room and he said he’d be right back and never returned. The restaurant messed up eggs( sunny side up instead of over easy) and messed up a ham and cheese sandwich ( on a panini instead of a Croissant.) Elevators didn’t always take you to the right floor. Valet people were very nice. Front desk guy was very nice.

This hotel experience was the worse I’ve had. We landed in Miami in the morning at 9 am. By the time we got our rental car at 9:30 am I received a text stating that our reservation at Design Suites was cancelled. We went directly to Design Suites who informed us our credit card was cancelled. This was a blatant lie. Design Suites said we were lucky and they had another room available. This was a Saturday morning and had no way of calling out local bank credit card. Put room on another credit card. Left and came back at 3 pm. Was given a different style room which was disgusting. I took pictures. Black mold in bathroom. Absolutely no hooks anywhere to hang wet towels. Toilet paper roll was so far away you could not reach it. Shower head stuck in 1postion-straight at your face. A/C was so loud-could not hear each other. Finally Design Suites found another room with 3 places to sleep. First night there, found out sink clogged, dishwater flooded on bottom, toilet broken. Spent next day trying to handle these issues. Day before leaving (5 days there). Went to do laundry. Was told laundry cards out. Will be in tomorrow. Got up a 6 am (we check out at 10 am) to go get laundry cards. Still out and was yelled at in just a rude way by the security guard who said that they don’t control cards and I just need to take my f…. Laundry home with me. She was calling the other security guards that were suppose to be working that day to get their codes to clock them in as working.

Stay Away - It's The Worse

Valet is confusing, you have to carry your luggage up a hill and 14 steps in order to get a luggage cart, front desk is rude, rooms are dirty, beds have no mattress cover, with mold and dried urine all over the mattress. Obviously known to them because the bottom was worse, as if it was just turned over. One toilet paper left in room with no access to more or to towels. There is no maid service although the ad does say so. There is no tiki bar in the sense you would believe. It is a concrete building with garage doors that closes on Sunday at 5 PM and did not open on Tuesday at all. There are no chairs in the pool area. There are huge rust stains in the pool and the surrounding partitions. They leave a coffee maker in the room but no coffee, not even one slip. They warn you not to leave the balcony door open because the a/c will condensate. We were not in the room much but we always kept the door closed and the a/c was leaking the whole time. We had to place one of the precious towels on the floor and almost slipped more than once. I am 61-years-old and in the last 20 years I have traveled a lot. I have never, ever had a worse experience, when I was supposed to be on vacation. If you rent through any source other than their hotel site, there is no early check in. Why, don't we pay too? Their lack of hospitality shows in that I called hotels.com to tell them my situation and they left a voicemail for the hotel, since they didn't answer the phone or have responded

The worse

First time I stayed, everything was ok, no complaints! This time I stayed, very unhappy! The staff, including the front desk, left at 5pm every day. I had no bath rag, no soap in the dispenser, just very unhappy so I had to go out to buy a rag to take a shower. There was a number to call in case you have any issues but no one never answered. You was directed straight to voicemail. I have never witnessed anything like this. This is not how you run a hotel. Never will I stay again!!!

The location is great. Great ocean access. Pool closes extremely early. And bring your own towels to wash your body cause they will not provide any. Had to go to Walgreens to get my own. Also check in is a long process so be prepaid to wait and do a lot of foot work before you get to enjoy your vacation.

Crappy hotel and service!!

The pictures provided on here do not truly show the correct condition of this hotel. Our room was run down and dirty. While they say daily housekeeping, that is not true!! We booked this hotel for 6 days for 2 adults and 1 child. We were given three bathroom towels and 3 beach towels. They would not allow us to exchange out towels at any point. 6 days with the same towel is GROSS. I can understand if we can't daily, but at least allow for once. Also good luck getting the front desk or anyone on the phone, they never answer the desk lines and when you go see them in person they are RUDE!! Don't book here!!! Not worth it!!

First time in my life (and I am no youngster) I left the place after the first night. During this night I had a fire in my room due to broken electric cord, sinks in bathroom and kitchenette were clogged, door lock didn't work (couldn't get back to the room), no telephone signal (ATT, I am physician and getting calls even on vacation). Finally elevator stop working for a while (14th floor).The only positive was a view from window at oceanfront. Staff is friendly but doing nothing. Stay away

No hot water from the shower. Tv also didn't work. Went to the front desk to inform someone and I was told that I was staying at a condo, not a hotel. And that they didn't have any on site maintenance staff. She said she would inform the condo association and nothing else could be done.

Horrible Trip

Our room was horrible! The air didn’t work, the bed was hard as hell! And they don’t offer room service because of the covid! The towels you use you have to wash them yourself, The shower didn’t get hot! And the walls looked horrible!

Lobby looked elegant. Room, not so much. We had major frustrations with service regarding booking. Tried calling multiple times before our stay, had to leave voicemail every time over multiple days. Never received a call back. They "misplaced" our paperwork, such that could not park our car.They required a >$200 security deposit at check-in. (Why??)
