"The room was excessively damp. The towels were damp and already wet, my clothes were damp same as the bedding. The head board had so much dust I was able to write the date with my finger. The noise from guests in the parking lot was heard late into the night. Won't stay there ever again."

"I was placed in a room adjacent to the ice machine and elevator, even though the hotel was barely occupied. The breakfast was on par with a gas station. I travel frequently for business, and the Hilton name is no longer a mark of quality or comfort. Hilton is the Taco Bell of hotels."

"We loved our stay at the Palmetto!! Right when you walk in the staff greets you and the hotel just smells good! There are always drinks in the lobby- water and sweet tea! The room was exactly as pictured and the staff serviced the room multiple times a day which was very nice! The breakfast was minimal but what you’d expect for a continental breakfast- fruit, grits, pastries, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt parfaits. Would’ve loved to see some bagels and cream cheese or bacon or...

"We had a wonderful stay at Planters Inn while celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday in Charleston. The staff was exceptional, our courtyard-facing suite was spacious and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Having a great restaurant on-site was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We have been staying here for many years. It’s comfortable and convenient but is beginning to look and feel “used”. There was some mold in the bathroom, we had no hot water for showering our last morning ….. the front desk said that they would notify maintenance about the water but we were on our way so don’t know if issue got corrected promptly or not. Breakfast is good, fair selection and atmosphere friendly."
