"Clean room, stocked with beach and bath towels. Bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable allowing for a great night sleep. Bath had a personal jacuzzi tub. Their outdoor jacuzzi along with their spa robes felt like a luxurious experience at the spa. The wife and I bought a wine bottle, and their front desk provided the cork opener and glasses. Breakfast was a homier version of a hotel's continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and offered golf cart rides to the local beach."

"The toilet is too low for older folks and people with bad knees, etc. We were told it was $11 to park when we got to the hotel (which I did not see when I booked the room), but was not told it was per night. That is extremely disappointing. Especially since there were not many parking spaces close to the entrance. I found out when I checked my bank account. That amount was not put on my receipt. I will look elsewhere to stay on a return trip."

"Loved staying here! The property, inside and out, was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The view of the park and the river across the street was lovely. All the positives make up for the location being a bit further from restaurants and bars, although within walking distance depending on your abilities. We’d stay here again!"

"The valet parking overnight is cheaper than nearby park and pay lots. The welcome drinks were a nice added touch, plus all the drinks and snacks in the mini fridge are included which was nice. The housekeepers were friendly & the come in and clean during the day and later in the evening they come do a turndown service. Complimentary breakfast was good also. Location was great and could easily walk most everywhere we wanted to go."

"This is our new favorite place to stay in Charleston! We have been going to Charleston for many, many years, and realy enjoyed our stay. The cook to order breakfast was delivered to our room each day. The staff was so nice and helpful, and the room was very spacious and the best shower my husband said he has had in years! Afternoon tea was such a nice break also. Very peaceful and relaxing setting."

"Our first time in Charleston and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! In the French Quarter, walking distance to so many shops and restaurants! The staff was incredible! Darrell heard that I have an allergy to American cheeses so he personally went out and purchased imported cheese for me so I can enjoy the wine and cheese along with everyone else during their cocktail hour. Their sister hotel, The Spectator, was just as wonderful! I would give 10 stars if I could!"

"I stayed here last year and the staff and hotel could not have been any better. I came back a year later and, again, the staff was unbelievable. Friendly, helpful and professional. I did feel that the hotel showed wear since my last visit. It was still wonderful but if I’m being honest it went from pristine to very nice. Locations is Perfect."
