"I found Christie Mill Inn & Spa while searching online for a pet-friendly place to stay, and I'm so glad I did! This little inn is absolutely charming and ended up being the perfect getaway for us.
The restaurant was a wonderful surprise. The food was far better than we expected, and every meal was delicious.
The staff truly made our stay special. Owen was amazing! He helped us with the canoes, peddle boats, and paddle boards, and he regularly checked in to make sure we were having a great time and had everything we needed. His friendly attitude really stood out. The woman at the front desk (I'm so sorry I forgot her name!) was also incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She answered all of my questions and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.
One thing to note is that there are quite a few geese around the property, so there was some goose poop on parts of the beach and grassy areas. As someone who is used to being around animals, it really wasn't a big deal—we simply worked around it and still enjoyed everything the property had to offer.
Overall, this place was exactly what we were looking for. It was relaxing, pet-friendly, and offered so many fun activities. We can't wait to come back for another stay, enjoy the restaurant again, and spend more time on the water.
Highly recommend Christie Mill Inn & Spa!"
"The 1-bedroom cabin was great...spacious-all the necessary amenities one would need for a short getaway. However, the outdoor deck was worn...needs an overhaul. The cushions for the outdoor furniture are old and dirty.
The hotel offers a great variety of boating options-canoes, paddle-board, paddle boats, and the swiimming pool is wonderful. The water in front of the hotel is not really suitable for swimming, but Port Severn Beach is just around the corner-you can paddle or walk there.
Overall, a lovely, quiet getaway away from the city."
"A very nice room but the finish on the bathtub was starting to come off so it didn't look clean and the water may have made the rust spots down near the drain. The edges of the desk had becomes sticky you to the tape that had been adhered to all of the corners possibly to avoid scratching. It was clean but it didn't feel clean. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff went above and beyond."
