"While I wanted to love this place because I love a historic hotel and the staff were beyond kind and thorough, the age and lack of maintenance became deterrents rather than charming. A smell of age, and not in a good way, permeates the property. Inside the room, things are dirty and worn down. The chair was covered with a myriad of stains and some kind of physical substance (perhaps food?). The bathroom grout, floor boards, and fixtures all needed attention.
