"if you booked here you probably couldnt find anything closer to big sur. It is cheap and 2 hours away. The bed is hard af. But i will give credit that it is clean and has parking and the staff helped check us in pretty fast. the price ehh makes sense i guess. Anyways i reccommend that if you take this place on your way to big sur you take the route that is shaped like a 'u' because the drive is beautiful but wavy. "The "breakfast" was not as pictured. No waffle makers, space was VERY limited, area was dirty. Don't get me wrong, I like Svenhard's pre-packaged rolls, but that doesn't make for breakfast in my book. Was thinking when we booked, ok, one night, Super 8, good enough. Yeah, no, not really good enough. the old girl REALLY showed her age. The cleaning staff may be trying to make it better, but the old gal could just really use an update. And for THAT price, should have been WAY better."

"Very nice hotel close to main Monterey activities such as Aquarium or Fisherman's Wharf. Spacious rooms with a fireplace, comfy beds, large TV with casting and lots of channels, excellent shower. Full hot breakfast well exceeded our expectations - their quiches and links were really good! Add complimentary wine and cheese tasting during happy hour as a cherry on top. Not the cheapest accommodation there and parking is not free, but still well worth it!"

"My room was super clean freshly painted, new blinds in general everything was nice and clean just need more parking I went to a party and but the time I came back I had to park far away from my room."

"Really enjoyed our stay here. I travelled with two small dogs and stayed for 3 nights. First impression was rough because our room had only 1 bedside table. We need one on each side of the bed for our CPAP machines. We were able to use the luggage rack and made a side table. There was enough space for the pups gear in the room. "The only negative thing was being on the first floor and hearing the people in the room above us walk around at all hours of the day and night. Made us wake up."

"We always love staying here with our dogs when we visit Carmel. It’s a great place to stay! We got a balcony this time and our dogs loved it! It’s super close to the beach and there are some dog friendly food places to eat at in walking distance. It’s always pretty clean and the staff is very friendly. We’d definitely come back"
