However, one of the rooms had no working shower and despite reporting it first thing in the morning, it still wasn’t repaired when my dad returned. "Great hotel. Don’t be put off by the dated exterior, once inside it’s really quite lovely! Room very spacious and beds very comfortable."

"Great place and pleasant staff. Would and will stay again."

"The staff were warmly welcoming, room was spacious and clean. Plenty of top quality tea and coffee in room. Room was warm - with a fan if that wasn't what you wanted! Breakfast menu was comprehensive and delicious, as is lunch and evening menu. Large bar area. Car park appreciated. Easy walking distance to centre with a variety of shops, Sunday Market and hospitality venues."

We ordered food it was very fast and efficient, large portions and reasonably priced. The sun was in the beer garden all day. Staff very...
