"Stayed in room 103, lovely room nice and clean and well serviced, but noisy. Very noisy above the bar, had a private party on Saturday night until midnight, I could feel the bass no sleep I don't think the room should be let under the circumstances, anywhere on the first floor, also 103 is by the lift and exit door, so people walking and talking past the door all night, so my advice is if you'd like a peaceful night's sleep then avoid this room, a shame as I've stayed here before on the 2nd...

"Parking was good, reception staff very helpful, room & bathroom clean & bed comfortable. There were a couple of areas with room for improvement. The curtains had come off the rail near the closure on one side so it let the early morning light in. A small bottle of water in the room, particularly in the heat would have been appreciated. All in all a good stay."

"The biggest problem at this magnificent old hotel is bedroom temperature. Even when it’s a cool 18c outside, it’s hot inside. At night, not just daytime. A fan is supplied as standard but sleep quality is often bad. Despite this, location is excellent, so it works for many. But if you value your sleep, find somewhere else to stay!!"

"Bloody Marvellous From the lovely warm welcome when we arrived to the fantastic breakfast just before we left everything was perfect. The room was lovely but what really made the difference was the wonderful team. The chefs should be made a saints as they worked miracles. See you all again"

"The room was lovely and cool on a hot trip. very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is continental and cooked, lots of options, time it well though or the bacon's all gone 😀. lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Only thing was I was a solo traveller but the room I was in had a connecting door to the room next door. was a bit unnerving but wasn't an issue I the end. maybe a consideration if hotel aware you are solo travelling. 4.9 outta 5 really, will use on next visit."

"A lovely light and airy room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed and plenty of clean towels. Staff were most welcoming and very helpful. Wonderful selection of goodies for breakfast. Fresh fruit every morning alongside a cooked breakfast and timings for breakfast most accommodating."

"Staff were brilliant I have had breakfast before and fantastic plenty to eat Bar. And outside area great lots of room Sad to say it all needs updating up stairs. All bathrooms need updating and decor and carpets need gone. Definitely the WiFi needs sorting out so you can get on it when you are in your room I wanted to chill out and watch Netflix but no internet Apart from that always a lovely stay and they accept dogs which is fab"
