"One of the worst stays I booked in my life, and the worst facility with false promises and provided room and amenities. They give smoked room even though we asked for non smoking since we had 4 kids to stay, overall terrible and not recommended for families and non-smoking people."

"This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Walking into the hotel it smelled terrible. Upon checking in I was told the elevator wasn’t working. This was a big inconvenience since I was traveling with children and we had to carry all of our bags up. The room smelled like cat pee. I had to find a Walmart to purchase cleaning supplies. All the lamps didn’t work and it was only one outlet in the room .I would not recommend stay at this location!!!!!"

"This hotel is well run by hands on owners and a great friendly staff. Recently remodeled and updated it is fresh and inviting. Pool is great. Awesome partially covered patio. Hot breakfast. You will be happy and satisfied at this Hampton Inn."

"This property was unique as it had a winery right on property with so many activities such as, line dancing. The food and drinks were excellent. The house was impeccable and beautifully decorated. The property is large and beautifully kept. You can tell this is a special property for the owners. Also, the staff was friendly and very attentive , I highly recommend this B&B whether it’s for a romantic getaway or any type of an event."

"Room and general areas clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint was room was a little cramped - one of the beds (two queens) was about 8 inches from the wall, making it difficult to get into that side of the bed."

"Found 3 cockroaches in the room ! I have stayed at the red horse a number of times when visiting Frederick MD. But this time I woke up to find 3 cockroaches in the bathroom. The place is getting a little run down. The drapes had holes in them and the bathroom tile had cracks. The low flow shower and faucet aren't to good. The air conditioning works really good."

"Good location for easy access to highways, restaurants and shopping. The property is older (renovated), but you can tell it has been around a while. The floors seemed slightly tilted in locations, were very creaky and the hallways were musty smelling. The rooms were clean and I had almost no complaints except for the noisy shower/tub. I luckily was on the second floor, but I imagine that every step above in the shower and on the creaky floor was audible below. The breakfast ok served its...

"My wife and I stayed for a night to attend a wedding. The room and the property were very nice. Everything was clean and well maintained. I was worried that the 3 pm check-in would make us late to the ceremony, but the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Check-in took less than 5 minutes! The lobby had decent coffee even in the afternoon. I’ll definitely stay here again when in town."

"We stayed at Visitation during our son and DIL marriage in the Frederick courthouse- afterwards we reserved dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. The environment, presentation and superior taste of food made for a memorable evening. They treated us with a glass of complimentary champagne to celebrate our night and we never felt rushed to leave that evening. It was a special night and our stay at hotel was superb - rooms were immaculate and comfortable- hotel grounds were lovely to relax."

"The parking lot was littered with trash. The noise in the parking lot was loud in the middle of the night. The shower in the room partially operated with half the water coming out of the spicket and half out the shower head."
