"I've stayed at Old Silk Appartments twice so far in apartments 8 and 9. Both I found spotless, white soft towels, comfy beds, tastefully decorated well maintained and adequately appointed. Large fridge freezer, 4 ring hob oven and microwave, basic set of kitchen utensils and a couple of pans adequate to cook something simple.
Large TV with Netflix etc WiFi etc
It's better than a hotel room in terms of space and comfort at considerably less cost.

"This charming hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk crossing the footpath bridge over the River Avon to The Royal Shakespeare Company Theater, Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare’s birthplace, local restaurants, shopping and things to see. Beautiful area! My room was modest yet very clean & comfortable, the front desk team was courteous, and the breakfast included with my stay was a nice surprise (basic options of coffee/tea/baked goods/yogurt/cereals and fruit) and I enjoyed the delicious egg scramble for an extra cost.
The Bear is a cozy downstairs pub adjacent to the lobby and serves traditional English pub food- I had an acceptable serving of fish and chips with mushy peas and a drink before heading out to see a play at The RSC!
(There is also a fine dining restaurant, Bistrot Pierre, adjacent to the lobby I did not eat at, however, I heard good reviews in town from others about it).
I recommend this lovely, quiet, and well maintained property and plan to come back!
The photo of Ferris wheel is the view from my room. Others about town …"
"The staff were really helpful. I was placed near the stairs and much later on in the night, it was really noisy and the doors banged loudly. I had already have my review stating it was quite which was incorrect.
I think having to pay £10 to use the amenities was a bit too much. I didn't get to do much as we had a busy schedule.
The conference rooms need an upgrade as it was dated, the windows were rotting and there was a very misty smell.
Overall it was nice and it helped that the majority of the staffs were really friendly and helpful."
"Beverlely the receptionist was excellent and kind . She is an asset to the business and other staff members should use the same friendly and polite approach."
"I had booked a weekend for my parents in one of the superior rooms in the main house.
When they checked in they were informed of where to park outside the main house. As we drove round there were a variety of barriers preventing us from parking, we were then informed that we would not be allowed to park as there was a wedding happening the following day.
We were informed to park a distance from the main house and my parents to walk further (disabled parking was unavailable).
My father, who struggles to walk and is 82 was left expected to walk much further than he was cable of.
The folllowing evening when I dropped them back at the hotel only to find out that they were directly over the wedding evening, and could not sleep because of the noise. They were moved rooms but this added to a later than they were usual too late night.
At no point were we informed that there was a wedding event,
They were due to leave the following day at 0630 to travel back to Ellesmere Port to miss traffic.
My father after this ordeal slept the rest of the afternoon (which is unlike him).
I feel the whole experience has been completely ruined and the communication and sympathy and understanding very lacking.
At this stage, I would not recommend.
We expect a call to discuss from the venue and hope their reaction will amend our extreme disappointment."
"Lovely 2 night stay, great value via Expedia. Was in the area for a concert at Warwick Arts, visits to Kenilworth Castle and Stoneleigh and proved ideal location.
Not at all snooty or stuffy like some country hotels.
Clean modern bathroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast, pleasant walks from hotel, well equipped gym.
Lots of hotels in this area, glad we chose this one."
"I booked a driving experience for my partner’s birthday back in January and we deliberately waited until summer to make a weekend of it. This review is about the hotel rather than the driving experience.
A few things future guests should know: you can’t cast your phone to the TV and there are no streaming services such as Netflix, so maybe bring a Fire Stick. There are no robes or slippers provided. The shower is essentially a wet room, so the floor gets very wet and flip-flops are useful. I’d recommend booking the restaurant in advance as it was fully booked when we arrived, and there are very few delivery options nearby.
The biggest issue was the noise. Within the first two hours we complained five times. Reception called the room above us and later spoke to them in person, but the noise only stopped briefly before continuing throughout the evening and the following morning.
The only quiet period was between 8:30am and 9:30am, which we used to try and sleep, meaning we missed the breakfast included with our stay. We complained again, requested a late checkout before the 2pm driving experience, and although the late checkout fee was waived, we could only stay until midday.
We were so sleep deprived that my partner couldn’t fully enjoy the driving experience. Being offered a complementary late breakfast/ lunch whilst waiting for the drive experience would’ve been appreciated. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at all and left hungry, tired, and excited to go home."
