"Our stay was extremely disappointing due to serious hygiene, food safety & service issues. We felt completely at the mercy of the staff rather than cared for as guests. We repeatedly found insects in our food—ants, gnats, mosquitoes & beetle like bugs across multiple meals. I have a plethora of photo/video evidence. "I just returned from a 9 night stay avdchete are my observations: The hotel is very centrally located and just seconds away from the beach and the main bars and restaurants. It has good sound proofing so no disruption to sleep or rest. They have backup power generators so no disruption to air conditioning, hot water etc. There are lots of stray dogs around but they don't bother you. The area felt safe but Blue Velvet has 24 hour security for peace of mind. The restaurant staff are great...

"J’ai séjourné à la villa les Orchidées du 20 au 28 avril 2026. L’endroit était à la fois calme et fort bien situé par rapport à la plage et les autres attraits. Je voudrais surtout remercier chaudement tout le personnel qui m’a généreusement aidé alors que j’étais malade et avais besoin de beaucoup de support dont faire appel d’urgence à un médecin. J’espère vous revoir tous bientôt."

"Staff were super friendly and gave us welcome drinks when we arrived. Food was really nice and they had a large selection of cocktails and mocktails. Only issue was sometimes they would make the cocktails ridiculously strong and the pillows were too hard/large for my liking"

"Reception staff pleasant and helpful, new bungalows are beautiful, older ones cute and rustic but with very limited space and almost no closet / storage space, no air conditioning and some nights very loud from clubs down the beach. Breakfast was wonderful, other experinces in the restaurant disappointing (food okay, service poor). Cleaning in the rooms not very good - sand not swept up from the floor. Overall we had a good stay, but lots could be improved."

" We had a fantastic stay at the Veronika. The staff make this resort incredibly special. Everyone was so friendly & kind it felt like home for the 6 nights we were there. Our room was kept very clean by the lovely cleaning ladies, the whole place was immaculate.
