"First off, I expected a lot more from this place. It is dubbed as a "luxury" houseboat, but it had very little hospitality. There was a "welcome bag" in the kitchen with 1 roll of toilet paper (why not just put it in the bathroom??), some cleaning cloths, enough coffee for 2 cups, a tiny pouch of soap for one shower and some trash bags. The bed linens aren't even put on the beds; we had to do it ourselves! No towels either. We were expected to take out the trash, too. The price was waaaay too...

"Very dissatisfied. Room size smaller than my room on cruise ship. A/C in room did not work no matter how we adjusted thermostat. View from room was of other hotel rooms. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this was very overpriced for quality of room. Checking out to get bill copy was a complete "train wreck". No order or directions to make check out easier. I could have done express check out, but i wanted to see my bill to be sure it was correct. As a Hilton Honors member, I could not recommend this property to others."

"Our 2 night stay was perfect! Staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel a couple of hours before check in as we arrived in Amsterdam early morning, and our room was ready which was amazing as it was 30 degrees outside! The room was cool, clean and exactly what we needed it for. Only down side was our room was on the 8th floor so we expected some lovely views however outside our room was the roof with stuff on which completely blocked everything so we didn’t see a thing. Also we didn’t realise how far out the hotel actually was from the centre (we walked on the first day and it took over an hour in the heat) however the station which is a 2 minute walk takes you straight into the centre in less than 10 minutes. Special shout out to the 2 bar staff (1 lady & 1 man) sorry I didn’t catch your names who we’re working the bar on the 24/05 evening shift they were so friendly, helpful and fun to have behind the bar whilst me and my partner sat and relaxed drinking for the evening. Would highly recommend this hotel to others who are travelling to Amsterdam, who don’t want to stay in the centre."

"This hotel was really dirty. The lobby looked nice and we were greeted by nice staff, but when we got to our room it felt anything but like home. There was hair on the bed and pillows, including inside the sheets. There was rice caked onto the chair, the bed cover with the logo looked really ratty and had something also caked onto it. There were crumbs everywhere and the grout in the bathroom looked atrocious. We were disgusted and went back to the front desk to see if they could reclean— unfortunately, the housekeeping had gone home, so we were given a new room and didn’t know if it would be worse or better. When we got to the new room, it was thankfully slightly better and not worse— there were still some crumbs and hairs but not as many, and one of the sinks in the bathroom did not work. It was plugged and after unplugging it, water started dripping out the bottom onto my wife’s feet. We then only used the other working sink. Overall we survived our stay but would never go back."
