"Clean pleasant room that looked recently refurbished, with a kettle and microwave and a enough tea and coffee to survive a night and morning. A fridge and hairdryer was useful. Shower was good, stocked with shampoo and conditioner. Bathroom was clean. Otherwise it was basic but sufficient. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. "Check-in was early, which I appreciated. However, the room fell well below expectations: it had no window, a damp smell, no hot water, and felt very run-down. It also didn’t feel clean, and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels. Overall, I would not recommend the Stables."

Unfortunately went to the wrong place first (clifton village rather than house) and it took 5 calls, 40 minutes and the operator accidentally letting us into someone else’s room before anyone realised, so maybe some better operator training necessary. "After reading the negative reviews, I was a bit apprehensive but shouldn’t have been, it was a great stay for our family of 4. The studio was as advertised and the sofa bed was made up for our kids. The room had everything we needed, everything worked and the location you can’t beat (for Clifton village). Yes, parking can be a bit tricky here but we know the area and you can always find street parking for a fee. We also stayed Saturday night, so paid the premium but would still recommend and...
