"This is a very interesting place set in an 18C mansion. The owner is very friendly and gave us a tour of the historic public rooms. The room was huge, very well heated (it’s January) and comfortable. The lovely garden under lemon trees was charming. Nice breakfast served in the sumptuous ballroom."

"Beautiful location. Clean and comfortable bedding which is always a plus. In the photos there was a jacuzzi which turned out to be in one of the private appt, so there was no access to it. The listing mentions bar items complimentary it had a milk and a water bottle and a few mini juice bottles which were a nice touch. "Help from Andrea with nearby parking and transport with luggage to/from Ortigia was excellent. Also breakfast staff member was super helpful. The property itself is tired and in need of upgrades. There is a totally inadequate space for breakfast seating, with no dedicated tables or chairs and no easy access back into reception area if guests are seated at basic outdoor sofas. "

Each day Stefano suggested local restaurants and booked reservations for us. All were excellent. The rooftop breakfast was a treat. Be sure to request the fresh squeezed blood orange juice.
