"What a micro delight. I wasn’t aware of the small room size before I got there but the room had everything to accommodate. Large mirrors, luggage storage under the bed, huge TV, full sized sham/cond/lotion/body wash, a hair dryer, a clothes steamer, even a noise machine! Impressed. Great lighting. And so very clean. 10/10 stay, no notes."

"A great place to stay in downtown DC, easy to find and they have their own underground parking. This is an older property, but it’s in great shape. You can tell they keep on top of maintenance items and don’t let things get scruffy looking. I’ll book here again the next time I need to stay overnight in DC."

"I am giving this stay a 6 due to several issues we experienced. Upon arrival, the room had a very strong, musty odor that was difficult to ignore. We were in a rush at the time, so we changed quickly and left for dinner. When we returned, we reported the issue to the front desk, but did not receive a response. After waiting about 45 minutes, we called back and were told there had been a shift change and no one was aware of our complaint. The odor became even worse when we turned on the heat, as it seemed to be coming from the vent. We called again to request either a room change or for someone to address the smell. We were told it would be looked into, but after another 30 minutes with no resolution, we called back. At that point, we were exhausted and asked for a spray instead. Unfortunately, the spray did not help at all, and we ended up turning the heat off entirely. Additionally, I booked the room through Expedia, and my expected balance was $92. However, I was charged nearly $800. I now have to wait for both the deposit and the duplicate charge for the room to be refunded to my bank account, which is very inconvenient. Overall, while the stay was manageable, these issues significantly impacted our experience."

"The front desk and door security staff were excellent. Their consistent friendliness and helpfulness reminded me of the service from high end, five star properties. Please compliment the management on hiring good people with great attitudes and keeping them motivated. It really shows in the overall experience. I will say here again and I did recommend the Fairfield 500 H St to the staff at Georgetown Grad School."

"Very clean and staff is pretty helpful. The dining options there are lacking. The room size is deceptive since the toilet is almost in the shower and the comfort of the beds is less than desirable. Would be a nice budget hotel but for the cost it is definitely worth another look."
