"Beautiful place "

"It was a Comfortable and quiet rest before a long flight home the next morning. The restaurant was good too. The only strange thing is they charge €8.50 per person to take the shuttle back to the airport. I didn’t know this until after booking. A taxi was half the cost."

"I had an 18-hour layover in Amsterdam and the location of this hotel was perfect for this occasion. Spacious rooms, non-smoking, beautiful views of gardens, quiet, good gym on the top floor, sunset view from the top floor was amazing, shuttles to and from airport but they stop between midnight and 6am (I took an Uber which was great). "They were so accommodating, we got in early morning from an overnight flight and they were able to give us our room well before check in time - so incredible for weary travelers!! "3 of us flew in and out of Amsterdam from Calgary, Canada as part of a great adventure to Africa. The Hotel is clean, good location to the Airport, amenities were fine. Upon arrival on May 14th (staying 2 nights in 2 rooms) the front desk clerk saw that we were exhausted from our overnight flight and allowed us to get into our rooms early and not be charged. "Airport shuttle fantastic. Service phenomenal. Requests were fulfilled immediately. Breakfast buffet is a must. Excellent quality, quantity and variety. And the room, incredibly spacious, with lovely amenities, including an air jetted tub, separate shower and poo room. Then, the hotel has wonderful amenities including: large pool, steam room, sauna and tanning bed. I would definitely stay again at Van Der Valk in the future."

"Very nice rooms and modern reception area. The breakfast atrium location and offering was off the chart awesome. Bar was good, a little over priced but very dark compared to the other amenities. The self serve convenience mart area was nice with good selections. The entry into the hotel is where the smokers sit and while a nice seating area, beware of all the smokers leading in to the hotel and as much as they try to keep up with all the cigarette butts and provide large containers, guests...

"TLDR: Shuttle service will not accommodate bicycles packed for air travel. If you're traveling with a bicycle and want airport transportation, stay somewhere else. The long version: I chose this airport because they had shuttle service to the airport. I asked two front desk people if it would be all right if I brought a bicycle, packed in a box, onto the shuttle, and they said yes.
