"We had a text a couple of days before and were able to ask a couple of questions. We were welcomed by Vernon on arrival and shown around the hotel. Vernon was keen to show the girls the dancing and they had a long session the next morning. Breakfast was cereal and we had coffee and tea. The guest house is very clean and tidy and welcoming. "This hotel highlights the fact they have an outdoor pool but it is always closed for maintenance. I believe they have no intention of ever reopening it. They should remove any mention of outdoor pool. They simply say it is closed for maintenance in the email they send you a few days before your stay. Hotels.com must remove outdoor pool from your website because YOU are complicit with this untruth."

"While I understand that maintaining a comfortable temperature in rooms can be challenging, we encountered several issues that contributed to an uncomfortable night: - The windows only opened an inch, which limited ventilation. - The fan, which required a trip back to reception to obtain, was not effective in cooling the room. - The water from the cold tap was quite warm, making it unfit for drinking. Additionally, I noticed that the hotel's decor and carpets appeared outdated and stained, which detracted from the overall ambiance."

"Once we got to the hotel (road closed so couldn't use the hotel carpark so a bit of a nightmare!) we found the staff very helpful, our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The only negative were the pillows, it would have been nice to have a choice of different 'plumpness'! We found them a bit too hard so didn't have the best sleep"

"The hotel breakfast and spa was first class, we booked through expedia for a week and got a great price. The standard room view was terrible. Room 21 is to be avoided the view out of both windows was horrible. The laundry on one side and the fire escape on the other. I wonder if the hotel gives expedia the worst room? The hotel should tell you what to expect!!"

"We had a lovely stay, myself and my husband with our daughter and her partner we all said we will be back again, i have asked for a quote to bring our family down for my 60th birthday in June 2027 for 23 of us as there is so much to do at the hotel for the adults and our grandchildren, we ate both night's and couldn't Fault the food the lift was broken down but the hotel did notify us before we arrived and did give me a room below due to my arthritis so thank you again! Kind regards Diane Ferne"

"How this place still runs as a hotel I do not know from the moment we got out the car the urine stench was unbearable, all corners of the car park were filled with rubbish. Inside was horrendous carpet not been hoovered or cleaned in 20 years mattress springs coming through, dust dirt and stains on every surface wall skirting board. Mould in bathroom, used needles outside out window (roof view) We left faster than we checked in Couldn’t pay me to stay there avoid at all cost The photos online are defiantly not of this hotel. The staff were like volunteers who just didn’t want to be there no help at all"
