"This is a terrible place to stay! There are 2 serious problems. First, there is no staff on duty and no reception office. One has to contact the manager by phone and the cleaning staff comes only in the morning. If the phone does not work from outside the grilled door you are stuck with nowhere to go. The second is that there is no elevator! There are almost 40 or so stairs to climb and take your luggage up the narrow stairs. There are no properly identifiable sign for the hotel which is located in a decrepit corner. The high price for the very small room is simply a ripoff. The room and bathroom were clean but the small size make it very inconvenient to use and stay. I will not recommend this place."

"Staff were super friendly and kind. The room was spacious and bright and well appointed. Very clean. There was breakfast available and it looked delicious, however we chose to enjoy local cafe's. Would absolutely recommend the Poet Hotel. "

"The room was very spacious, updated and clean. Located in a very convenient location - walk to La Spezia station is less than 5 minutes. Our towel warmer wasn't working for us but other than that, no complaints. Would stay here again for sure."

"Great place, a lovely place. Just a 8 minute walk from the La Spezia Centrale train station. Location is great, near the Main Street with lots of shopping and food. Room was clean and modern."
