"The staff was professional, answered our question. Our room was clean. Had breakfast in the restaurant both mornings, food was very good and servers were excellent. Appy’s and drinks at the Bar and Grill was a good, relaxing evening too. Would stay here again. "
"Overall a clean hotel with well maintained facilities. Easy kick check—in system. Rooms are sparse but well designed.
Downsides are 1) no sound proofing in rooms. We could literally hear full conversations of guests in the next room speaking at normal volume. 2) common area for guests with water and coffee not maintained. Water was empty both times I stopped by. 3) there is no where in the entire food ecosystem at the Public to get a cocktail until 5pm. 4) bathrooms in the rooms offer no privacy. Kind of a tinted or frosted glass that you can see through. Weird.
Despite upsides, would not stay here again. "
"I found this hotel quite challenging from a number of perspectives.
Firstly they are clearly a hotel that cater for mass party bookings which made for a very busy hotel 24/7. Unfortunately we were exposed to 3 nights of a 4 night stay to young people arriving back in the early hours fighting, shouting and swearing right outside our room. When I mentioned to the reception staff I was told that the party concerned had checked out and they we should get a good night's sleep on our last night! Absolutely no apologies or attempts to make us as paying customers feel valued. They also have a very strange policy in the bar area. My daughter waited at a table to be served drinks one afternoon no staff came therefore she went up to the bar to order drinks and was then told as she went to the bar she would have to sit there and not at a table!. I was furious and asked why? I was told that this was because the servers would then get commission quite honestly that is not my concern we were paying customers staying at the hotel and should have been treated with respect, Kathy was extremely rude and unprofessional who made again absolutely no attempt to make us feel better. The hotel is old and tired and the cleanliness is poor. I do want to give a shout out to Eddie at Starbucks.he was under a huge amount of pressure with huge queues for coffee every day( again cannot understand the system)but always had a smile 😊"
"Free wifi without any restrictions was compromised. Obvious highjackers in the vicinity. Do not login to any of your personal accounts without a VPN. Your data will be stolen.
TV was tiny with no premium services and no access to an hdmi port for a roku or firestick. Room was small with lots of missimg attention to details
On a positive note, if youre into the whole Times Square too many people vibe its right in your wheelhouse. I’ll look elsewhere next time.
I wouldnt stay there again but "
"No microwave or refrigerator in room. Only coffee; water was available in room. Thank you for that.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Will stay here on my next visit to NY. "
