Nice villa but bad.
Nice villa with great service. Downside was its in the jungle and the room had mozzies and gecko in it. It was in the middle of nowhere and far from town. Some things in the room were broken like the safe and lights and also the timber on the bedding.

Hmmm
Hotel amenities not in good condition, kitchen always run out of something for your meal, and what they didn't run out of, they over-cook it or burn it. The bacon and ham for breakfast was like biltong. Cleaners need some serious training too.
Arriving at the Jiwa Klusa Luxury resort was a bitter disappointment. The resort was a complete construction site. All day long hammering and drilling. No warnings whatsoever during the booking procedure. The villa itself was not clean, the pool looked as if it was contaminated. The pictures on the site look excellent, the truth however the opposite. Complaining resulted in the fact that we still had to pay the 1 night we had to stay...
The resort is 30 minutes from the centre of UBUD. There is a shuttle but they tend to leave before the scheduled time and will not wait at pick-up site. After 18.00 the won't pick you up, forcing you to dine at the resort.
Hotels.com mention free minibar items - this is not the case...
Bintang beer is heavily overpriced at 55.000IDR, should be around 25.000 max.
Breakfast is a dissapointment with black roasted toast. Cleary missing devotion and hospitality since they expect customers to arrive/book anyway.
Our advice: DON'T !!!!
As soon as we arrived at Jiwa Klusa, we wished we were staying longer. Three nights was not enough! The staff, the spa, the entire facility was top notch. The most impressive part was the room we stayed in. It was unlike anything we've ever experienced - truly breathtaking and beautiful. With so much to do in Ubud, we wished we had a longer stay because we wanted more time to just be at the hotel and just enjoy it.
I'm not going to pretend the hotel ruined our trip, but there were things that were disappointing. There was a mouse that had come out of a large noticeable hole under a window frame and tried to eat from one of our finished room service meals. Hot water ran out in our shower and when we used the hotel driver it was expensive and then we got asked to speed up our trip because they needed their car back. There was very noisy construction going on at times, but that was probably due to us visiting in the off season. There was also
Otherwise, the facilities are amazing, private pool was nice and surprisingly fresh water instead of salt or chlorine. Masseuse was amazing, and the room service meals and included breakfast was very nice with an amazing view of the rice patties. Bathroom was very well appointed and bigger than a lot of hotel rooms and bed was huge and comfy and very sensual.
Again it's a very nice hotel, but just annoying management decisions let it down, with no recompense for the mouse or even much of an apology.
Overall we are very please with the villa we stay. Just that in the 1st night we don't feel very comfortable with the villa we stay because of the surrounding area. However we manage to change to another villa on the second day which we are very happy and meet our expectation. The Hotel staff are very helpful.
Facilities: Outstanding; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
Whayen and his family team do an exception service. the most welcoming and accommodating professions in Bali
Set in a beautiful valley overlooking rice fields.
Beautiful villas offering privacy and relaxation. Pool is sublime overlooking rice fields.
We had a "romantic dinner" which involved staff setting up a table overlooking fields on balcony with many flowers, candles and delicious set meal.
With a full moon arising it was an amazing evening. They even prepared our spa bath laden with rose petals and prepared bed in same fashion.
We had daily massages to pamper ourselves. Incredible value for price.

Nice hotel , but not luxury
Recently returned from 3 nights at Jiwa. Firstly let's get the location, a 30minute drive into centre of Ubud , and situated on a road that hums of motor bikes all day. The Jiwa has 10 rooms all steeping higher and higher, be prepared for around 80 steps .
The rooms are lovely but not luxe as compared to some other accommodation. The breakfast is beautiful but the dinner/lunch menu expensive and very small selection. No onsite yoga as stated but amazing weekly guided tour of rice fields and village.
Staff willing to please and very beautiful ,
After a long day of travelling the last thing I needed after the usual airport schernanigans was a Hotel that was Miles away a d hard to find. However it was worth the wait as the welcome was very friendly with staff very keen to hear about our journey and offer a nice welcome drink. We were told we were upgraded and although this sounded like a regular line, the room was well presented and luxuriously delightful. We had a room with a Jacuzzi and huge 'rainhead' shower, made special by the design being partly under the stars! Huge rooms, lots of space in dressing area and lots if extras. The staff were always Jovial and polite and room service brought in new fresh towels everytime we brushed past one of the many we had in our room. The private pool was fabulous and if you are looking for a real spoil yourself break, a few days here is worth it. The massage overlooking the Paddy Fields is spectacular and highly relaxing and the girls were always tentative and sensitive. The food on the first night from the Restuarant was excellent but when we used it again two days later for dinner, we were a little disapointed as it felt like a different chef and my fiancé's duck realty was an over cooked rubber ball that we sent back. The resolution was a let down as the simply sent back less, but we were tired and because of the slight communication problem just decided to leave it. Breakfast next day was disappointing again because of the inconsistency. They sent a slice if pork on a dish she had the previously morning that didn't have that unsavoury addition. A little alarmed when she sent it back, the simply took it off the plate, attempted to wipe the plate and send it back. Not good enough for someone who does not religiously eat pork. For the rest, we had a driver for each of the four days we were there, Tutu, a really nice easy going guy who couldn't do enough for you. He looked uncomfortable on the last day when having to drop us at two or three stop off shopping points for which we had very little interest. Just bear in mind that stopping here means a driver or Taxi everytime you leave the resort. With only ten villas, it's classy, quiet and highly recommended.
Very perfect position for just gazing at the rice paddy while at breakfast!
Not suitable for young children as there are lots of stairs and some unprotected edges and pools.
Staff were always available to help.
Shuttle service was free to UBud all
Day,rooms are very 5 star,but fixtures and fittings were a bit faulty.
Overall I would stay again with a partner but would look else where for young children
We has a great time at this hotel. Very beautiful and the staff was great. We went during lower season so couple of nights we partially has the entire place to ourselves. Some of the best service we received in all of bali. Beds are really comfortable too!
Facilities: Top of the line, State of the art; Value: Fantastic; Service: Remarkable, Go the extra mile, Outstanding; Cleanliness: Immaculate, Pristine;
The manager was very accommodating
We stayed 3 nights at the Villa. Everything was exceptional from the safe drivers to the staff. The overall facilities were great. We also got to sample the complementary spa, (one foot massage), yoga and the walk. They were all of a good standard and i would have no problem in recommending this hotel to anyone.
Facilities: Brand new; Value: Bargain; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
Make sure you use the mozzie nets and definately partake in the free 30min foot massage
