"Hotel Don Alfonso is historic and beautiful! We enjoyed exploring every charming area! The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and Louis was exceptional—greeting us right away at check-in, sharing helpful information about the area, and even offering to help us improve our Spanish, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent and within walking distance of many restaurants, including two great Peruvian restaurants across the street that became our favorites. As expected in a city, it can be a little noisy, but the convenience of the location made up for it. Breakfast was delicious, and when we had to leave early for an excursion, the hotel kindly prepared a breakfast to go. Our room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The first night the air conditioner wasn’t working properly, but the staff quickly offered us another room with a working unit, which made the rest of our stay much more comfortable. We really appreciated the hospitality and service and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend! "

"This hotel is on a great location close to the bus terminal. The room was clean but small. My reservation was for a queen size bed but my room had a full size. There was a mini split on the room. The staff were always helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant next door that serves decent food. I found the city very similar to Medellin just on a smaller scale. "
