"The room was spotless and the amenities were nice. The building is historic, with thin walls, meaning hallway noise is likely. We used earplugs and were fine. Bloomington is very walkable and staying on campus worked well for our visit. We had no issues finding parking in the designated lot, included in the cost of the room. Overall, we were happy with our experience at this hotel and would recommend to others."

"I usually don’t like leaving a negative review, but since there were several issues that I encountered I felt I had too. When I first checked in I noticed a sign at the counter that stated they were out of eggs and sausage for their breakfast, then passing the pool they had a hand written sign stating the pool was closed, not a big deal. Then got into my room (which had a weird smell) rather late after a 10 hour drive I was exhausted. I noticed my bed spread had a large orangey stain on it, which the lady did apologize and give me a new one. After I remade my bed, I went to turn the air cooler but the button to set it was broken. I then went to take a shower, and noticed a few things unfortunately. The tissue holder had a bunch of tissue crumpled up outside of the holder, there was a dirty wash cloth hanging over the shower rod, and hair in the shower. The place was pretty gross in my opinion, I know it wasn’t a 5 star hotel but at least have the rooms clean, I was not happy and leary about sleeping in the squeaky ass bed that they had. Customer service was very pleasant though but thats about the only good thing I can say a that hotel. "
