"What a wonderful place - the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable and well-decorated. The owner and staff were very special - warm and kind, and they went out of their way to help me with my family genealogy research. The main building has a communal feel, as everyone can use the stove and fridge and eat / gather / work in the space there."

"We had the most fabulous stay at this hotel! Outstanding location, incredible room, delicious meals - breakfast and dinner and a truly wonderful service from all the staff. We enjoyed the canoeing and cycling. The sauna view is second to none. We loved Dalsland and this hotel. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Stadshotell. The room was great overall, although it could use more counter space in the bathroom. Frukost was great, although you need to learn to make CRISPY bacon, not lumps of fat. Restaurant menu was outstanding. You need a photo of Amal's most famous singer in the hallway: GUNNEL EKLUND, instead of all the blues singers who have no genuine connection to the city."
