"This is not a hotel. The room is clean, but it is extremely noisy. Room 1 is located directly above a billiard bar, making it very difficult to rest. There is no reception and no parking available. Overall, there is a lot of noise and the experience was disappointing."

"The Penny Lane was an excellent place to stay if you are visiting Hampton Bays or surrounding area. Rooms are great. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Staff was excellent."

"The place is in dire need of a makeover. In the bathroom... No exhaust fan... Hinges and towel racks are rusted... Wall paper is peeling off the walls... Tub/shower faucet is connected wrong. Hot is cold and Cold is hot... Door has noticeable cracks. The front half of the room had no lights. Until this place get renovated, I will not stay there again."

"The woman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. The room wasn't the cleanest, there was either dust and/or mold on the valance and curtains. The floor was dirty, had to walk around with shoes or flip flops on because my feet were filthy from walking for 5 minutes. Looked like smeared blood on the wall and saw possibly a roach in the room."

"Beautiful! Relaxing vacation! A bit pricey, to be expected. Barbecue ($85) was beautifully set up. Menu was disappointing. Past reviews cited appetizers like lobster rolls and fritto misto. These were absent. $4 for a small lemonade which was mostly ice, REALLY!"

"Harpoon House was great, very centrally located to shopping and restaurants. Very impressed with how clean the entire place was. Way better in person than the pictures make it look."
