"I did not like the location of the hotel. The chairs in the room were absolutely disgusting. And you dont control the a/c, at night it was so hot i couldnt sleep and i didn’t dare open the balcony door to let some air in because of the location."

"Fantastic view and location, excellent access to the beach and pool and some great restaurant options on-site. Breakfast not included and beach access doesn't have water views (they pile up the sand as a barrier I think). If I went again I might have sunbathed on the pier instead so I could see the water!"

"Our room was on th 6th floor with an incredible view of the sea ! The balcony had 2 chairs and a table fir us to enjoy our coffees in the mornings and drinks after a long day exploring the riviera. The room was impeccibly clean and tidy. There was a beautiful bouquet of fresh white tulips and an absolutely delicious cake as a nice welcome touch! The Nespresso esspresso maker with 12 coffee pods is always a wonderful amenity. The included soft drinks, bottled water, juices, beers and chocolates were amazing as well. Florian checked us in and was there at check out anx provided service above and beyond expectations - please give him a raise ! Other service staff such as laundry service and room cleaning were also beyond wonderful. Having a balcony with seats to enjoy the wonderful univstructed view of the sea be cannot be beat ! We have stayed on other hotels on the "Coisette" but the rooms and views did not compare to what we received at the Carlton. This is by far, the absolute BEST HOTEL IN CANNES. Staff is always welcoming and professional, the rooms are spotless, and tge sea view cannot be surpassed ! "

And after raising concerns, one of them offered complimentary breakfast on the second night. Quiet environment: the room provided a peaceful night’s rest once settled. Basic amenities available: the room was equipped with essentials (bed, towels, bathroom facilities). Cons No staff present at reception upon arrival, leaving guests unsupported. Poor communication before arrival: no prior notice that check‑in was only via machine and card, despite request to pay in cash. Unpleasant arrival experience: forced to wait outside in the rain after an exhausting trip. Payment difficulties: inability to pay in cash caused unnecessary stress and delay. Some Cleanliness issues in the room: some hair found on sheets and pillow, towels not perfectly clean. Overall Impression The stay began with significant frustration due to lack of staff presence, poor communication, and cleanliness concerns. However, the hotel did make an effort to address the complaint by offering breakfast, and the morning staff’s friendliness helped restore some comfort. Improvements in reception service, guest communication, and housekeeping standards remain necessary, but the positive gestures show that the hotel is willing to listen and respond."
