I have to tell you I’m a long time gold member in Hotels.com And I’ve experienced one of the worst vacations I ever had The front desk guys were rude and charged us 300 dollars because they saw an ashtray that we brought from the balcony before check out

I like the privacy and the proximity of the property to the 5th Av. The apartment should have more amenities like a bench on the bathroom. One shower has nothing to put the shampoo and conditioner so we set it on the floor. Check in must be faster and there is lot a ways to do it. Also the check out. In all my before stays, I never have to wait for someone to check the apartment so I can't get my cash deposit back. But overall it was fine

If you are planning to stay at this condominium you need to know what to expect once you check in and you will then make the wise decision to stay or not to stay. You check in with the condominium guard, he is the one giving you the keys of your condo. The guard is just the guard so he has no answers for you. there is nobody to talk to if you are in need of anything. The Guard will take the amount of $300.00 Cash at check in. At check out it took more than one hour to get the money back due to my deposit was missing. You are only allow to 40 Kw per day of electricity any additional Kws they will take it from the $300. (FYI the refrigerator alone consumes this amount of electricity daily), so be aware of the final bill because it is very hot in Playa. By the way you never get to see the meter!. Once at the apartment, there was no water pressure, no hot water and the place was above 100 degrees. If you plan to have visitors, no visitors are allow. You need to wear a wrist Band, if you don't return the band it is $20.00 for each wb. Pool was terrible, it was very small. Good luck

La propiedad está bien, el departamento es cómo en las fotos, tiene buena ubicación, cuenta con estacionamiento pero no me volvería a hospedar aquí ni lo recomendaría. El escusado de mi habitación no servía, tampoco la tv, las instalaciones un poco descuidadas, sobre todo el área de la alberca. Los Jacuzzis no sirven, solo puedes consumir 20 kwh por día de luz y si te pasas te cobran 5 pesos cada kwh, fui súper precavida con eso y aún así pague, sugerí que ya lo incluyan en la tarifa, es la única propiedad que me ha dicho algo así, la cafetera no tenía filtro y nos dijeron que teníamos que comprarlo, en cuanto a mi tv nos comentaron que eran teles muy viejas y que la siguiente semana las cambiaban y bueno nos quedamos sin tele en nuestra habitación. Primero me entregaron un cuarto que no era nada parecido a las fotos de lo que había reservando, baje a recepción y me cambiaron, pero lo que más nos impresionó fue la actitud de una de las supervisoras cuando quisimos platicar todo esto, muy mala, nada de empatía, poca capacidad de recibir feedback, parecía que nos daba el avión, una actitud indiferente y cuando solicitamos su nombre nos dijo “no” y nosotros “porque?” Y dijo “No puedo” mientras se iba alejando de espaldas, le valió, es una chica de lentes de estatura media cabello corto un poco rojizo, no logramos conseguir su nombre, ojalá puedan capacitar al personal.

Muy buen edificio, excelente servicio de los empleados y muy tranquilo la ubicación y todo céntrico lo único que no me gusto es sobre los kw que si consumes mas de lo que te ofrecen por los dias que estarás y es obvio pero , al utilizar la estufa eléctrica vas a consumir mas luz de lo normal y trate de ahorrar luz con los a/c para no pasarme y aún así me pase un poco pero de ahi en fuera todo bien en un futuro puedan dar mas kw para utilizar todo de mejor forma

El departamento está bien ubicado y lindo pero tuvimos unos inconvenientes. Primero un baño que se tapaba y que optamos por no usar. No te avisan pero no hay que poner papeles en el inodoro. Luego nos volvieron locos que había olor a cigarrillo en este baño y que dejemos de fumar ahí cuando no fumamos. Fue todo un tema para que entendieron que el olor venía por la rejilla y que no era responsabilidad nuestra. Nos enteramos que con este argumento nos querían sacar el depósito. Y tercero los aires programados estaban programados en 20 grados todo el día pero tardamos un par de días en entenderlo ya que nos íbamos a las 8 de la mañana para volver a las 21 y no entendíamos porque los aires están prendidos cuando volvíamos. Este fue otro tema, ellos no querían desprogramarlos, tuvimos que bajar la térmica y nos cobraron IGUAL un suplemento de consumo de energía. Son muchos temitas por cinco noches. Digamos que hubo un poco de mala fe porque todo era muy sencillo de resolver pero como que de todo parecía que teníamos la culpa. En fin, si van, avisen el olor al entrar, bajen la térmica del aire al salir y usen solo el baño del cuarto con dos camas dobles.

"THIS IS NOT LUXURY"

Last time I was in Playa Del Carmen I stayed at the Anah Sunset across the street from this place, I tried to go back there but they were booked...so I figured Anah Lux under the same name and owned by the same company would be just as nice. When they apply "LUXURY" to the name you would think as such which was NOT the case. The Front Desk staff are RUDE and NOT HELPFUL at all with any issues, one of them claimed to be the Owner of the place and instead of trying to retain me as a customer she gladly suggested that I leave. My room was SMALLER and they applied an EXTRA charge to have your sheets and towels changed daily, the phone did NOT work and there were SPIDERS in the room like they did NOT CLEAN the room prior to me arriving. Along with Hidden fees about the Linens there was an Electrical Meter for electricity used while staying at the Condo....so you could only run the AC for a limited amount of time to stay cool in a place where it's HOT 90% of the time, just another way to nickel and dime you for your US Dollars. Upon my departure I was informed that I would have to pay $20 US for a .1 cent paper wristband I received because in the contract you sign they want you to return it to them for SECURITY purposes, I wasn't going to do that...and most of all Travelers there is a $300 Deposit US that you have to pay BEFORE you can even get your room ON TOP of what you might have paid to stay there from site like Hotel.com which is where I made my reservation.

Ruined vacation

This establishment does not include all their rules when you are booking, you only find out after when it is too late and you can not cancel at that point. There is NO indication when booking that you are limited to 20 kw per day and there is NO indication that you may not have guest over after 10 pm. I understand and appreciate that this is for our security, but I was bringing my boyfriend that arrived later to playa del Carmen, because my reservation was for 2 people but I had an appartment that fit 4 people the manager refused to help. The management has NO sense of customer service, they do not understand the frustration of their clients and have no idea how to communicate or find an alternative. The security was REALLY rude and yelled at my guest one day because he talked back to him. It was only 3 pm and he was yelling at my guest he did not want to let him in. Also the first night when I brought my boyfriend because he arrived at 2am and had no other place to go the security guard shut my electricity. I will NEVER ever give my money to such an establishment, they ruined our vacation. I do have to say that the employees at the front desk Mario, Anthony and Fernando were very nice and tried their best but they could not do anything because their manager Ofelia did like us and she refused to help. It really is to bad for this establishment to treat their guests in such a way.

PUES LA VERDAD TODO MUY BIEN SALVO UNA PEQUEÑA GRAN QUEJA HACIA QUIEN VEA ESTE MENSAJE, RENTAMOS UNA HABITACION CON 3 MINISPLITS, REFRIGERADOR, HORNO DE MICROONDAS Y UN MONTON DE LUCES, A LO QUE VOY ES QUE EN EL HOTEL SOLO DAN 20 WATTS DE LUZ Y SE ME HACE ILOGICO QUE UNA HABITACION TENIENDO TODO ESO QUE LES MENCIONE SOLO DE ESA CANTIDAD DE WATTS, PORQUE NO RENTE UN AIRBNB QUE AHI SI MIDEN LA LUZ, NO ME PARECIO LOGICO YA QUE EN NINGUN HOTEL QUE ME HE HOSPEDADO ME HABIA PASADO ESO, APARTE PIDEN 300 DOLARES DE DEPOSITO, LUEGO AL SIGUIENTE DIA ME DIJERON QUE ME HABIA PASADO DE LA LUZ PERMITIDA, SIENDO QUE LLEGAMOS A LAS 6 DE LA TARDE Y NO ESTUVIMOS HASTA LAS 9 DE LA NOCHE SOLO UTILIZAMOS LOS AIRES PARA DORMIR PUESTO QUE A LAS 9 DE LA MAÑANA ESTABAMOS ENTREGANDO LA HABITACION, CUANDO ENTRAMOS A LA HABITACION YA ESTABAN ENCENDIDO EL MICRO, LAS 3 TELES QUE HAY Y EL REFRIGERADOR ENTONCES PROBABLEMENTE LOS 20 WATTS QUE NOS DIERON YA LOS HABIAN GASTADO ELLOS MISMOS Y NOS FREGARON, EN GENERAL EL LUGAR ES MUY BONITO PERO CREO QUE EN QUINTANA ROO A LOS EMPRESARIOS NO LES BASTA CON LO CARO QUE ES, SI NO QUE BUSCAN LA FORMA DE GANAR MAS DINERO CON EL TURISMO SIN IMPORTAR SI ES NACIONAL O EXTRANJERO, NO LO RECOMIENDO POR LO DE LA LUZ, ESPERO Y PONGAN UN POCO DE ATENCION A ESTE MENSAGE Y HAGAN ALGO PORQUE BARATO, PARA NADA ES LA HABITACION QUE RENTAMOS PARA QUE NI SIQUIERA LA LUZ QUIERAN PAGAR USTEDES, PERO CLARO QUE ESO TE LO DICEN HASTA QUE ESTAN EMBARCADO HACIENDO CHECK INN, MUY MAL

This property requires a CASH deposit at checkin. They also charge extra for electricity usage. The room we got was nice enough. The only major issue was with the return of our cash deposit at checkout - They did not have the money on site and we ended up waiting over an hour to receive it.

Muy buena ubicación todo cerca, Centros comerciales, Quinta avenida, Playa, muy céntrico, decepcionante qué hay que pagar 15 dólares por la limpieza, hay que pagar por el consumo de luz considerando que playa del carmen es un lugar cálido, los aires acondicionados siempre están funcionando y hay un cargo extra adicional por el consumo, Toilet Paper & purified water extra charge.

This was a great location, short walk to the beach and the walking street. Big grocery store and Walmart really close. *** We had a 2-bedroom and used 1 air-conditioner of the 3. Very easily we used up the daily power amount and had to pay. It was cheap but annoying *** Also, we had to come up with big cash deposit and this was not told ahead of time ***
