"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Fortuna. It’s a charming, family-run hotel set in the serene village of Milna, just a short drive from the busy town of Hvar. The atmosphere was calm, the setting was stunning, and the hospitality truly stood out. Our room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, with a balcony overlooking the peaceful bay. The views were beautiful, especially in the early morning and at sunset. It’s the perfect place to unwind after exploring the island. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful — nothing felt like too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and varied, with lots of local touches. We also had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was excellent — fresh seafood and delicious local wine. The location is ideal if you’re looking to escape the crowds of Hvar town while still being within easy reach. The only minor downside is the cost of taxis, which were consistently €20 each way for an 8-minute journey into Hvar — a bit steep given the distance. However, the quiet and natural beauty of Milna more than made up for it. If you’re after a more relaxed, authentic experience on Hvar Island, Hotel Fortuna is a wonderful choice. "

"This place is an absolute gem. Walking distance from both the ferry port to Split (about 20 mins along a coastal path), and from the town and lots of lovely places to eat and museums. Veronique was a delight, and bustled around tirelessly to make sure we had all we needed. The room on the second floor with a balcony and a large bathroom was a lovely place to relax and unwind after a hard day’s sightseeing. Just a couple of things to know about - this is more of a posh bed and breakfast than a slick boutique hotel. That’s part of its charm, but little things like them forgetting to clean our room (quickly rectified) and a slow breakfast service when we’d told them we were leaving for the ferry (again, soon sorted) make it a relaxing place to stay rather than somewhere for the very demanding guest. We shall be returning! "

"It was a wonderful hotel for relaxation. A great stop between split and Dubrovnik to relax by the sea. The views were amazing. Staff was very helpful in coordinating a trip to old town Korcula. Breakfast has lots of variety and was good. Swimming and relaxing by the sea was great!"
