"Affordable place to stay in a safe environment close to the airport and the beach. The owner was very friendly and the entire setting was very clean and unique. It doesn’t have many bells and whistles. One towel, one bar of soap about covers the room. No mini fridge, cups, ice etc. Sinks don’t drain well but found that around most of DR. We were able to check in early and after we checked out at 11, stay on site for a few hours til our flight. Ubers were about $7 usd to the closest beach and $10...

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The apartment was clean, spacious, and in a nice, semi-gated community. One of the best parts is that there’s a shopping plaza just a 3-minute walk away, and there’s a strong security presence in the area—even after the stores close. That made me feel extra safe.
The local culture and food options nearby were a big plus too—definitely gave it that authentic vibe I was looking for.
Only downside: I paid for a late check-out, but they still locked the door early...

"What a great place for the price. It is a ways from the resorts and downtown Punta Cana but not hard to get a taxi at all. If you want a taste of the local lifestyle this is definitely the place you should stay. Less than 5 mins to Ole supermarket (which is kind of a Walmart) with a fully equipped kitchen. Even if I was going resorting I would stay for a couple days here just to understand how middle class Dominicans are living. Don't let the people who only stay at resorts tell you how...
