Fantastic experience with great staff always going above and beyond. Highly recommend. Only fault i could say is that wifi was down for 2 of the 3 days of the stay with no mobile signal at the lodge.

Absolutely loved this property!! Charming, small boutique hotel feel with only 6 lodges (rooms). Very friendly staff, excellent food and VERY experienced rangers taking you 2x a day on drives around the reserve. Stuart, Barry and Elliott are all three FANTASTIC!! Highly recommend this property.

Fantastic Safari Experience

A fantastic safari experience. The room was spacious, the food was tasty and the swimming pool overlooking the plains and the waterhole was a great place to unwind in after the excursions. Elliot, our ranger was knowledgeable and brought us close to 4/5 of the big five and numerous other animals. Can warmly recommend Madwike and Motswiri Lodge.

MOTSWIRI December 22

This was a magnificent stay, from arrival at the main gate to the 8 km drive up to the lodge everything started amazingly. Kudu, zebra and tortoise before we even got to the lodge. Once there the warmth of the welcome was apparent and that was a theme the whole way through the stay. Manager Lisa and her team were fabulous, and made special provision for my Dad who is 75 and has mobility issues. Ranger Elliott took us on each of our 6 game drives and everyday was different , exciting, inspiring and surprising. He even went out early on the last morning to hunt down Buffalo so that we could complete 4 of the big 5. The accommodation is perfect, the food OUTSTANDING and the ambience and setting perfect. They even cleaned the car for us before we left on the final morning. Have stayed at many lodges…..this was outstanding.

It was a great stay. The lodge is located inside a great game reserve which you are literally in the bush close to all animals, Big5 and so :)! Our stay was made even more special due to our ranger Elliot, which made all efforts for a great stay and managed to get us 4 fantastic game drives, seeing in a couple of hours a big and great combination of the best animals, make sure you go with him! On the improvement side the room facilities could be a bit better, our shower had some small leakages and fan was bit outdated and noisy, but nothing that changed this great stay!!!

Absolutely superb

Motswiri was absolutely fantastic. The room was huge but also had bags of character and a view of the waterhole that meant we could watch elephants, giraffes and the like from the comfort of our bed. The staff were all absolutely brilliant - lovely people who did everything they possibly could to make our stay as wonderful as it was. And the food was delicious and seemingly never-ending. Most importantly our ranger, Visser, was incredible. He had the enthusiasm of a first-time tourist combined with the expertise of an old-timer. He was obsessed by making sure we got to see everything we possibly could and was happy to be first out and last back of all the lodges to ensure we saw every bit of wildlife there was. Examples of this included heading out early to track down cheetahs and driving deep into the bush where Visser's x-ray eyes managed to spot sleeping lions way past the time we were meant to be back at the lodge. I couldn't recommend Motswiri highly enough. The only negative was having to leave.
