"Lovely hotel. Nice bar area with good staff. Large room with separate sitting area. Only downside was the occasional damp smell in the room and the bedding was torn. Room feels like it needs a good airing but the window appear fixed in place. Stayed here for the football and it’s a perfect location. Corridors resemble a ship which is a lovely touch. Would stay again "

"The staff were great but sadly the property has seen better days. Luke warm water in the washand basin & shower.Lift control button on 3rd floor is defective. Blocked toilet but staff dealt with it promptly. Clean sheets on bed and breakfast edible so reasonable value for money paid."

"We stayed 2 nights and had a good night's sleep both nights. We had breakfast on the last morning, and that was excellent. The hotel is being refurbished externally and is having a new roof, so the building is covered in scaffolding. Clearly, this isn't attractive; however, it shows the hotel is taking its final appearance seriously and ensuring that the hotel is in good condition. "

"Our room was an outdated, slanted roof room with just enough space for a double bed. The bathroom was something out of the 70's and this is not reflected in the photographs of the property. The room was clean but the windows glazing had blown and was growing mushrooms inside the pain. My partner stood on a nail in the room and when reception was told about this they did not care or react as if it was unheard of. When I asked about a partial refund I was told that 'It was good enough to sleep there' I had not wanted to complain at the time of check in as we had been traveling all day and not got to the hotel until 11pm! NEVER AGAIN"

"Lovely spacious room. Very clean. Good amenities. Great location for plenty of places to eat out. Near dockside for events at LEC. Good parking available a couple of minutes away in multi storey. "

"Bathroom was not clean, smelled of we and a puddle in the corner behind the toilet. Also, there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door from previous guests"
