Our stay at the Western States inn was wonderful, the room was very clean with all items and facilities in good working order upon arrival and throughout our stay to departure. It was hot during our time in San Miguel, night and day, the air conditioning was great and ran well. The main issue I have with some of the corner suites that face North (I stayed in RM 229) are the lamp posts that reach up to between the 2nd and 3rd floors. These street lights never turn off and even with regular curtains and black out shades, the light shines directly into the corner suites on that...

"This Motel really exceeded our expectations. It is a super cute property and the room was adorably decorated. I loved hanging out in the hammock first thing in the morning when it was still cool outside, and by the fire pit in the evening when the temperatures dropped as well. The pool area was amazing - no shortage of very comfortable seating with access to the bar and restaurant - so nice that it is restricted to 21 and older! "The tv did not work and the thermostat did not work. We complained the first night and the staff said they would take care of the complaints. That. Ever happened. Even on check out we asked for a partial credit. We have not heard a thing. Would not recommend this place. Not even coffee in the lobby."
