"This hotel was nothing fancy, but Vancouver is expensive and we thought fair for the money. The location is within walking distance to so many places…20-30 minutes. The little ferry to Granville Island is just two blocks away and then a five minute ferry ride. So easy! Shopping on Robson Street is about 6 blocks away and Canada Place and Gastown about a 30 minute walk. The only thing I did not like was a safety issue with the tub/shower. The tub is very deep…very nice if you want to take a hot bath. But I can see how it could be a safety issue stepping in and out of the tub to take a shower as there are not any grab bars. I was fine, but for some it could be an issue."

"This was an excellent choice for a "right downtown" Vancouver stay!! The staff were courteous, helpful and willing to adjust to our needs (we're late sleepers so we usually don't get out of the room before 10:30am and the staff were always good about minding our "privacy"). The property is kind of a "converted" condominium of sorts - our room was really a one bedroom condo (i.e. there was a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room and kitchen) but this is perfect for us since we often like to have food/water/beer/wine in the fridge (which was provided). A full stove and microwave was provided as well!! (of course there were pots/pans and utensils!!) The ONLY issue we found was just how loud it was outside. We were on the 16th floor and, because the property is on Burrard and right next to St. Paul's Hospital, the sirens were constant at certain times of the day/night. That said, it's not something that was a deal breaker for us but it may be for others. Overall the Century Plaza is a hidden gem in the middle of Vancouver!!"
